Today equipment comes from all over the world and as a result hydraulic connections types vary. The common styles are JIC, NPT, Flat Face, O-ring Boss, BSPP, BSPT, JIS, and Metric.
Each end of the adapter can be male, female, or swivel. The shape can straight, 45 or 90 degree, tees, caps and plugs. Now consider the many different combinations such as JIC on one end and NPT on the other. So, it is not a surprise identifying the right part is a challenge. Not to worry, we can help.
Purpose of Hydraulic Adapters
Hydraulic adapters have several purposes. One is to allow switching from one style of connection to another. Like from JIC to NPT. A second reason for an adapter is create additional connection points using a Tee. Tees are available in many combination of styles but not more than two types on any one adapter. Example an O-Ring Boss on one port and JIC on the other two port on the Tee.
