This style  hydraulic disconnect addresses residual pressure in a circuit, anywhere thermal expansion of trapped fluid causes pressure to develop. They connect by hand with residual pressure, without releasing any fluid into the environment, due to an internal valving system.

These hydraulic disconnects having a flat face are closed by design and less likely to trap debris. They are suited for pressures up to 5000 PSI.

Applications

These disconnects are well suited for Skid Steer hydraulic couplers, Bobcat, and general mobile equipment and attachment tools where static pressure can get locked into the system. Most common is sun exposure/temperature change causing pressure buildup due to thermal expansion of trapped fluid.
